   Hi Natalie,

   I was pretty surprised when the chat interface changed as I was used to checking out profile pages by clicking on the names when you open a chat conversation with someone and I din’t know that they had teamed up with Skype! My initial reaction was Facebook had decided to go up against Skype in their own game – and my friend told me that they had teamed up. Really cool though.

   However, I think they’ve still got a ton of bug issues to iron out and the really lagged video conversations. It’s definitely going to take them a while before seeing the awesomeness in it. I’m still going to be using Skype as I see no use in doing a video call over Facebook and it might distract me from what I am doing there. What about you?

   This is another good news to all Facebook fans, video calling is the new feature of Facebook. I just recently know that Facebook and Skype team up and make this happen. Nice tandem!

   I mean I am not blown away by anything I have seen so far come out of this facebook/skype partnership. I think it is an exciting prospect that one day you may be able to possibly make person to person phone calls via facebook. I just wonder whether services will be free or run off FB credits or something similar. I guess that is why there is a certain level of excitement any time there is a merger like this.

   I have just started using Facebook for my makeup artist business and it’s been great so far. I have to agree with the new Facebook chat in the sidebar being annoying but as far as video on Facebook well it was only a matter of time. Facebook is really aiming for world domination and capturing every aspect of social media.

   I think any features to add to Facebook is great. It just becomes a great all rounder. Facebook is all about connecting with people and for our business it works to create new clients. Adding Skype can’t hurt.
