I can't believe how quick Christmas has rocked around this year. It's time to start thinking about all the cooking to be done. I usually make Rocky Road and Shortbread which I think I'll continue but I'd like to add some more recipes this year. Bearded Dragons

We have a young almost one year old Bearded Dragon named Solo. He had a mate called Dash but unfortunately Dash dashed off the first chance he got. He escaped out of his outside enclosure never to be seen again. Solo could have followed but he's so easy going that he just clung to his branch waiting for his next meal of crickets, woodies and dandelion flowers. What a life! Best Juice Recipes

I love making juice and smoothies fro breakfast. Unfortunately I don't have a juicer but I do have a blender. My favourite at the moment is pineapple juice, fresh ginger chopped up, blueberries and two tablespoons of plain natural yoghurt.

This is very refreshing and keeps you satisfied.

I also love carrot juice but have to be happy with the store bought variety juice. i will get a juicer soon.

The Horse Race That Stops The Nation

In Australia every year on the first Tuesday in November we have The Melbourne Cup. Even if you never ever bet on the horses, you will on Melbourne Cup day. It's a tradition.

It's not only about the race of course. It's an all day party with a chance for everybody to come dressed up in their best fashions. The ladies come in heels and dresses while wearing a  fascinator or hat is an absolute must. The men always look dapper as well.
